Using AI for business process flow

I've been a professional software engineer for 15+ years, and have never seen anew tech take off this quick.

Am working with a few clients right now to identify ways to use AI beyond marketing and copywriting. We have a couple of pilot projects in DD right now.

I'll post in Automtions too, but I am checking to see who has experience in building process flow apps.

My personal observation about Zapier is that it works fine, performance is good, and yes there are a LOT of products that work with it.

The challenge that I've seen is (1) getting the clients to really understand their business flow and document it, and (2) getting them to feel comfortable with complex multi-path action dependent chains. Many think in very linear "if-then-else" structured event chains.

Agreed.

Too many companies are trying to layer automation on top of broken processes. It's like painting over rust. You end up with "automation debt" - fragile systems that nobody understands.

And the team members that understand how the dysfunctional processes work are invested in maintaining their use, because that's how they justify their expertise
